– What’s refundable and what’s non-refundable

Why does my email say “Pending”?

Our Aquarium Tours and Penguin tours are “Pending” until minimum numbers are reached. Once minimum numbers have been met, we will take payment and send a confirmation email. If you have any questions regarding your Pending booking, please contact our team.

A Pending order may be cancelled if minimum numbers are not met. There will be no refund necessary as we don’t take payment until bookings are confirmed!

As the customer, you can make any changes to a pending booking at any time.

Making a change to Confirmed bookings

We realise that sometimes even the best laid plans go astray, so we allow changes for any confirmed booking to be made up to 48 hours prior to the original booking time. Changes include names, times and/or dates.

You will have 60 days to rebook your tour otherwise monies will be forfeited.

We require full payment prior to booking to your tour. For online bookings, our platform is secure so we assure you your details are safe.

We accept VISA and Mastercard. Sorry, no AMEX.

At the Oceanic check in and booking station on Granite Island we accept: cash, WeChat, Paylinx and AliPay.

Refunds will be made to the original card used for booking.

Last minute bookings

On the way to Victor Harbor and want to see if you can jump on a tour? Please contact us and we will do our best to make it possible.

“No shows” are non-refundable

Cancellations of ‘Confirmed’ bookings inside 48 hours prior to the visit are non-refundable.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable but are transferrable! Gift voucher recipients or the original purchaser can change the name of the guest at any time.

Refunds will not be provided to passengers who are late, and miss their tour departure time.

Guest cancellation policy

We try to be as flexible as possible, so we allow booking cancellation with a full refund if we are provided with more than 48 hours notice.

If you need to cancel or change a booking out of normal office hours (10am – 4pm), please call 0448 885 450

Guests can cancel a ‘Pending’ booking at any time.

Oceanic Victor cancellation policy

Oceanic Victor operates in a marine environment, and there is an inherent risk of cancellation due to heavy weather. Oceanic Victor reserves the right to cancel visits if of the opinion that extreme weather or other conditions pose a threat to the safety of customers. In the event of cancellation by the operator, customers will either be re-booked for an alternative date or a full refund will be given. Refunds will only be paid to the card/person who made the payment.

Why do we ask for your email and mobile number?

Booking and payment confirmation is sent via email from our booking system. We require the mobile phone number of at least one guest per booking as a contact for last minute updates.

Getting to Oceanic Victor, Granite Island

We are lucky to be located on one of the only islands in Australia that is accessible by foot! Please allow 15-20 minutes to cross the causeway (jetty) from the Victor Harbor mainland. You can also catch the iconic horse-drawn tram. View the timetable and fees here.

Penguin tours check in and departure

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour to check in. Tour guides will be wearing a high visibility vest and tours meet at the Old Penguin Centre on Granite Island. There is clear permanent signage and an a-frame sign to indicate the meeting spot.

Directions: As you exit the causeway on the Granite Island end, follow the footpath to the left and look for the four big pine trees. You will notice the Old Penguin Centre ‘bunker’ style building.

Aquarium Tour check in and departure

Arrive 30 minutes before the tour departure to check in at the Oceanic Victor counter at The Island Café. You will be required to fill out a waiver, if you haven’t already. Sign the waiver here.

Directions: As you exit the causeway on the Granite Island end, follow the footpath to the left and look for the building near the jetty.

Oceanic Victor departure point: Tours depart from Screwpile Jetty on the dot! So make sure you allow enough time to find a park, cross the causeway and check in.
